Shawna Martin
Instructor of All Courses / Curriculum Coordinator
Ms. Martin has worked in the beauty industry for 18 years across various local salons/spas, and maintains licenses in Cosmetology, Manicuring, Master Esthetics and Instruction. She attended SCC for Manicuring and Esthetics in 2000, received her Instructor license from Total Cosmetology in 2013, trained to become a Master Esthetician at Glo Med Spa in 2014, and returned to Total Cosmetology in 2016 to earn her Cosmetology license.
Along with her position as Instructor of Manicuring at Glen Dow Academy, she continues to be an active working professional at Mod Hair & Body, as well as the Davenport Spa. She is passionate about instructing and is excited to pass down the valuable knowledge and experience she has gained as a veteran of the industry.
In 2020, Ms. Martin also accepted a position on the Washington State Cosmetology, Hair design, Barbering, Esthetics, and Manicuring Advisory Board, representing the field of Manicuring.
